Meaford is one of the most dog friendly towns in North America – they even have a certification for it! – with no shortage of fun things to do with the pup in your life. If you’re traveling with your pet in the South Georgian Area area this winter, a stop at the Beautiful Joe Leash-Free dog park is a must. There are 2 different fenced in areas, 1 for small dogs and the other one for larger dogs! While you are there, head down the road and stop at Beautiful Joe Park, which sits on the banks of the Big Head River. Learn about Beautiful Joe and how he become famous!
Memorial Park is also a wonderful stop in Meaford. In the summer, a portion of the beach is specifically for dogs and is off-leash friendly in the winter with supervision!⠀
