Winter Bucket-List

winter cwoodOne of the most frequently asked questions we receive at South Georgian Bay Tourism is “what is there to do in the winter time?”. We believe that winter is best spent warmly dressed and in the snow. Here is our winter bucket-list to make sure that you’re checking off all of the top things to do in South Georgian Bay this season.

1. Explore Scenic Caves Nature Adventures

Hit the trails at Scenic Caves. Snowshoe the 10km of snowshoe/hiking trails or cross-country ski on the 27km of ski or skate trails. Make sure your phone is fully charged prior to your snowshoe or ski adventure so you are able to take some great insta-worthy pictures from the iconic Suspension Bridge!

2. Snowshoe Tour

3. Ski or Snowboard

One of the main draws to the South Georgian Bay area in the wintertime is the best skiing in Ontario! Blue Mountain Resort is the best place to accommodate all levels of skiing. Whether you need to rent gear and take a lesson, or are an experienced skier looking for double black diamonds, you will be able to fill your day with fun on the slopes!

4. Hike and Tube

A gentle introduction to the mountain! Snow tubing provides guests with a genuine downhill experience without the speed and equipment associated with skiing and snowboarding. Tubing offers old-fashioned winter fun for the entire family and gives all participants a gentle introduction to the Blue Mountain slopes.
