Do you have a passion for wine? Then let’s take a scenic drive and discover the local vineyards that South Georgian Bay has to offer. This itinerary will have you visit three vineyards that offer award winning wine while taking in the breathtaking scenery overlooking the Niagara Escarpment.
Day 1

You start our tour by checking into The Westin Trillium House situated amidst a picturesque landscape situated in a lively pedestrians-only village. Once you are settled in, you can head over to The Roost Wine Company
The Roost is family owned & run, sustainably farmed, small-batch, and hand made in The Blue Mountains. Your experience will start on their covered patio or their 19th century barn that overlooks the Beaver Valley. You will explore the diverse range of Roost wines starting with a guided, blind tasting experience of 6 wines, accompanied by a cheese and charcuterie plate. After your tasting why not explore the gardens or visit their Bottle Shop to purchase one of The Roost’s award-winning wines.
On your way back to the hotel, you may want to stop at the Open-Air Gondola located at Blue Mountain. Get a 360-degree view of everything around you. At the top are trails and scenic lookouts. Don’t forget to bring your camera. Once back at the hotel, you will have the rest of the evening to explore the village.

Start your day by ordering breakfast in bed or visit the onsite resort restaurant, Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill. Now on to Georgian Hills Vineyards.
Georgian Hills Vineyards is surrounded with beautiful views of the escarpment and Georgian Bay in the distance. Whether you reserve your experience outside against the beautiful backdrop of the Beaver Valley, or take your experience indoors, Georgian Hills Vineyards has you covered. The knowledgeable staff will assist you with your samplings. If you would like to pair your wine with food, it is recommended to reserve a table reservation instead of a tasting reservation. Take a visit to their shop and choose one of their award-winning wines.
Take a detour to Clarksburg, also know as ‘Artsburg’ to take in Matilda Swanson Art Gallery. They offer an eclectic selection of original artwork that include, folk, whimsical, abstract to traditional. They have something for everyone’s tastes. Back at your hotel, you will find several restaurants within walking distance. From pizza or pub grub to steak or sushi, there is something for everyone.

Once again choose your preference for breakfast and after checking out of the hotel, make your way to Coffin Ridge Winery.
Coffin Ridge Winery overlooks the crystal blue water of Georgian Bay. They produce high quality, small batch wine made primarily from planted, hand grown, hand picked Grey County grapes. The perfect way to end a tour. Choose a wine flight, order a wood fired pizza, or a vintner’s plate with a selection of cheeses, breads, meats, fruit/veggies & chocolates. Maybe a picnic in the vineyard is more to your liking. Relax and enjoy the Coffin Ridge experience. When visiting their shop, the knowledgeable staff can assist with your purchase.
Be sure to take in all the scenery at Irish Mountain Lookout as you make your way home. Capture the beautiful views of Georgian Bay and take a picture on the Big Red Chair.
