Wasaga Beach is your premier destination located just two hours north of Toronto

The white sandy beach stretches more than 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) on the south end of Georgian Bay and welcomes more than 2 million visitors every summer to enjoy the beach, swim in warm, clean waters and enjoy the panoramic mountain views across the Bay. Wasaga Beach offers an excellent variety of accommodations and restaurant choices.
Because of its size, the beach is divided into six smaller beaches, so if you would like to steer clear of tourists and crowds who flock to Beach 1 and 2, make your way to Beaches 4 or 5 for a more private and quiet afternoon. Dogs are welcome on Beach 3.

Wheel Chair Accessible Beachfront

All park washrooms have wheelchair accessible stalls and new comfort stations have modifications that make them more accessible to people with disabilities.

Visitor Centre at the Nancy Island Historic Site

The Wasaga Beach Visitor Information Centre is located at Nancy Island Historical Site, and provides visitors with “last mile” education about all the great things to do in Wasaga Beach and South Georgian Bay. iPads installed and available at the Wasaga Beach Welcome Centre located that will improve accessibility by providing interpretive information in both English and French on these portable units. Visitors will be able to carry the iPads with them as they explore the historic site as well as view the HMS Nancy video without having to access the Theatre fully where there are physical constraints associated with the existing building.

Wasaga Beach Trails

Perhaps the best kept secret in Wasaga Beach is the endless recreation trails for hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The trails provide easy access to key points of interest, yet only a few feet away you are once again lost in the beauty of the sand dune system and abundantly forested landscape. Bring your camera, your sports gear and sense of discovery – Our trail system is unforgettable!

Wasaga Beach Sunsets

The blue waters of Georgian Bay stretch into the horizon so you’ll want to stay until the sun goes down. Wasaga Beach offers some of the most spectacular sunsets you’ll ever see.

Nottawasaga River

Wasaga Beach is also home to many recreational trails and the Nottawasaga River is good for game fishing, canoeing and boating. Try casting your rod in the “Notty” for some magnificent game fishing. There are also boat, jet-ski and stand up paddleboard rentals available and great canoe routes to explore.

Adventure Seeking Wasaga Beach

See the panoramic view of the world’s largest freshwater beach from over 10,000 feet up in the air at Wasaga Beach Skydive. Get close to nature at Wasaga Beach Adventure Park home to axe throwing, paintball and escape rooms. Wasaga Beach is also ideal for kiteboarding, windsurfing and stand up paddleboarding, land boarding and buggy kiting in the off season.

Wasaga Beach Events

Day or night, Wasaga Beach has an abundance of events, from cultural gatherings to spectator sports, Wasaga Beach’s events will fill any calendar. There’s a festival almost every weekend and many are located on the beachfront. Special events are planned almost every weekend and evening entertainment abounds. Watch fireworks on Victoria Day weekend, Canada Day.

Enjoy music concerts, check out movies under the stars or browse arts & crafts and culinary delights at Ribfest and Ships and Sails. Visit our Tuesday farmers market from 4-8pm and enjoy Jazz and More at Oakview Park.
