Fall time in South Georgian Bay means everything pumpkin. Yes, you heard that right – pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, pumpkin pie, roasted pumpkin seeds, and so much more. With South Georgian Bay’s prominent roots in the agricultural scene of Ontario, this is the perfect destination to come pick your pumpkins this fall. Whether you’re looking to decorate the house for Thanksgiving, make delicious pumpkin treats, let the kids carve their own jack-o’-lantern for Halloween, or just get out and experience autumn in South Georgian Bay, you’re going to want to add these farms to the bucket list.
Oh and did we mention the cute and cozy fall photos that will come from visiting any one of these charming and rustic farms? Throw on that flannel or oversized knit sweater, and get on out there in the pumpkin patch. Talk about spicing up “the gram” with fall content that’ll have your followers begging for the location!

Rounds Ranch
First up, we have Rounds Ranch. This autumn wonderland is located less than 10 minutes outside of Wasaga Beach, in Elmvale, and is a hotspot for family fun.
Pumpkin Mania runs during the months of September and October, and is an event you’re not going to want to miss! Admission includes a free pumpkin of any size and any colour so hop on the tractor and ride down to the patch to pick your own. On the weekends, go pumpkin bowling, fill your belly at the pie eating contest, and compete in sack races. Plus, enjoy all of the regular season fun in Ranchland, including 22 more fun activities! During the month of October, stay after the sun goes down to continue the fun in the spooky Flashlight Corn Maze.
Be sure to check out their website for more information on opening/closing dates, hours, and to purchase tickets in advance.
Morrison Pumpkin Farm
Next up we have a multi-generational family-owned farm that has been a classic autumn destination in South Georgian Bay for nearly 40 years. If you’re looking for an “Instagrammable” spot to mix in all things pumpkin and straw bales to your feed, check out Morrison Pumpkin Farm in Collingwood. With rustic wagons and beautiful fall photo displays, you’re sure to get the perfect shot!
Be sure to support this local family farm and load your wagon full of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, fresh produce, and even corn stalks and straw bales to decorate your porch. You’re not going to want to go home empty handed. And the best part of it all? There’s no admission fee so you’re free to go shop, snap photos, and explore the corn maze! This is the ideal fall date idea and you can even bring your furry friend along for the fun, as the farm is dog-friendly.
