Free Spirit Tours
Dates: July 1 – August 30 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (available dates depend on the age group you are signing up for).
Ages: Trail Blazers Ages 5 & 6 yrs, Explorers Ages: 7 – 9 yrs, Adventures Ages 10 – 12 yrs and Extreme Ages 13 – 16 yrs.
Description: Free Spirit day camps provide a unique experience where children take part in outdoor-based activities that encourage active participation in a safe and fun environment. Activities for ages 7 and up include: rock climbing, caving, canoeing, sea kayaking, voyageur canoeing, biking and team building games.

Dates: July 2 – August 22.
Description: Museum programs are a fun way for children to spend an active and heritage inspired morning or afternoon. $12 per program ($10 for Museum Members). Programs run twice daily from 9 am – 12 pm and 1 pm – 4 pm.

Description: Immerse your child in an unforgetable cultural experience with the guidance of instructor Drew Murdoch. Give your child the chance to gain confidence while testing their abilities in a creative setting. Spaces are limited and the classes are run in small groups.

Living Water Resort
Dates: July 2 to August 30th weekly from 9am to 5pm.
Description: Campers will play and grow together through art, organized games, outdoor exploration and science experiments. Campers will participate in daily swimming at our Recreation Centre. Kids camps include: Tiny Trekkers, Early Explorers, Future Masters, Shining Stars, Performing Arts and MVP.

Description: Experience the camaraderie of camp in an authentic mountain setting! Blue’s Mountainside Camp program includes conquering the mountain on daily hikes, tackling signature attractions like the Woodlot Low Ropes and Climbing Wall, swimming at Plunge! Aquatic Centre and letting their imagination soar with arts and crafts activities.

Description: Let your water-loving child experience what beach life is all about this summer at Beachside Camp! Pack a swimsuit because this program is 70% water based with activities like stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, supervised swims and more! Plus, we’ll schedule a little time on land with beach-themed programming like capture the flag, sand castle competitions and beach volleyball.
Monterra Tennis Camp
Dates: July 1 to August 30, 2019.
Description: As one of the best teaching centres in the area, Monterra allows programs to run rain or shine all summer long inside its state-of-the-art facility, The Courts. Tennis Summer Camp participants can expect to learn basic fundamental for each stroke including forehand, backhand, serve, and volley.
L.E. Shore Memorial Library Camps
Stained Glass Kite Making
Date: Tuesday July 23 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
Ages: 8 and up
Description: Located at L.E.Shore Library on Tuesday July 23rd we will be making some super COOL stained glass kites! Join us for this fun craft – you must pre-register.
Botanical Sun Catchers
Date: Thursday July 25 from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
Ages: 8 and up
Description: Located at L.E. Shore Library. We will be making beautiful Botanical Sun Catchers. These Botanical Sun Catchers are a great way to add some fun, color and cheer to your home. A free event – pre- registration required.
Side Walk Astronomy with the RASC
Date: Tuesday July 30, 2019 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
Ages: 6 and up
Description: The RASC will be at the L.E. Shore library for their second session of Sidewalk Astronomy. This is a drop-in program organized by The Royal Astronmical Society (RASC). The idea of this program is to catch people when they are not expecting to get a look through a telescope, and then explain to them what they are seeing. A free, drop-in event.
Meaford Hall – Dean Hollin’s Musical Theatre Summer Camp
Dates: Tuesday, August 6 to Friday, August 16 2019, daily from 9am to 4:30pm.
Description: Campers will receive instruction in acting, dancing, singing, set design, props, costumes and sound and lighting. Please provide a lunch for your child. On the final day of this camp there will be a free showcase performance.

Eco Adventurer Camp
Dates: July 29 – August 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Description: Campers will participate in outdoor activities where they will learn about teamwork, outdoor skills, arts and participate in games in and about nature (bus transportation included). Located at Bluewater Outdoor Education Centre (Oliphant).

Ages: 8 and 13
Description: These mini bakers are taught hands on what it takes to be a true dessert artist! Take homes for hungry parents include: cakes, cupcakes, pastries, bread, biscuits, and SO MUCH MORE! This camp requires one take home project. Located at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Center.

Highlands Wilderness Day Camp
Ages: 5 -11
Description: Go pond dipping, hunt for bugs in the forest, play survival, build shelters, glide down our slip and slide and make crafts throughout the week to bring home! 4 year olds welcome on select weeks. Must be enrolled for JK or turn 4 by December 31st. Cost is $250 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift. A daily rate is available. It is $50 per day
Highlands Golf Adventure Day Camp
Ages: 5-11 on select weeks only.
Description: For half the day at Highlands go pond dipping, hunt for bugs in the forest, build shelters, glide down our slip and slide and make crafts throughout the week to bring home! The other half of the day your camper will be learning swing fundamentals, putting, and play on the Duntroon Highlands Golf Course, located next door to Highlands Nordic. Cost is $325 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift.
Highlands Hawkeye Adventure Day Camp
Ages: 10-14 on select weeks only.
Description: At Hawkeye Adventure Camp spend the week learning skills to become an experienced outdoorsman or woman. Campers will learn about human survival through exploring what to pack in their backpacks when going on a hike, how to dress appropriately, basic first aid, and how to safely build effective shelter and fire. Each day will have a new adventure where campers will mountain bike, and learn how to do archery and biathlon*. Throughout the week they will also learn about animals and the roles humans play in the environment. Cost is $325 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift. *Campers must provide their own bike. Archery and biathlon equipment is included. The theme weeks will determine the types of crafts that we do and our “Special Days”. Most of our core activities will happen each week.

Description: A fun summer activity for your children to enjoy. This free public swimming at the Centennial Pool is sponsored by Stayner Lions Club. The pool is located at 28255 Oak St. in Stayner, ON.

TD Summer Reading Club
Dates: After school in Sunnidale on June 25, Creemore on June 26, and Stayner on June 27.
Description: Celebrate Nature and the world around you at the library this summer. Join our TD Summer Reading Club meetings to participate in crafts, games, storytelling and challenges. Read your way to some great prizes. Keep in touch with your friends from school and make new ones too. There is so much going on at the library this summer. Come and join us, you’re a natural! Our registration parties for the individual reading challenge and club programs are:
Preschool Fun: Wednesday @10:00 in Sunnidale up to age 6.
Explorers: For JK to grade 2 @ 1:30 Wednesdays in Sunnidale, Thursdays in Stayner, Fridays in Creemore.
Adventurers: Grade 3-6 @ 2:45 Wednesdays in Sunnidale, Thursdays in Stayner, Fridays in Creemore.
Summer Passport Challenge
Dates: July 3 – August 23.
Description: Once you have registered, you will receive a free passport booklet of challenges to work on independently throughout the summer. Registration starts June 25th when passports will be available at all branches to be picked up and the Grand Prize baskets are available to view. They are asked to complete six out of nine challenges listed on their passport, and then hand the completed passport into their local branch so that they can be entered into this years Grand Prize Draw (draw at Noon- Aug 23rd – each branch has it’s own prize basket). These challenges are a variety of different tasks ranging from: reading a certain type of book, writing a small review, creating a 3D model and more!
Dates: July 2, 16, 30 and August 20 – Creemore Branch @ 10:30 a.m, Sunnidale Branch @ 12:30 p.m, Stayner Branch @ 2:30 p.m.
Description: We are offering free workshops at all three branches on the following Tuesdays this summer: July 2nd (Recycling Crafts), 16th (No Bake Baking) 30th (Spa Day) & August 20th (Techie Time). Registration is required and is available online, starting June 14th (8 youth max. per branch workshop).
