Tamara, a certified forest therapy guide, will create opportunities for sensory experiences, presence, stillness, listening & more. Included in this experience is a completely guided 2.5 hour walk along with some wild tea to soothe from the inside.
What is great about this offering is that it is available all year round! Visit them in the spring/summer and then again in fall/winter for two completely different experiences.
Visit Awen’ Gathering Place to experience the past and present heritage of Indigenous Peoples in Collingwood and surrounding areas. This is a space of sharing, celebrating, learning and teaching.
The concept is based on the teachings of Dr. Duke Redbird; an Anishinaabe educator, artist and poet. It talks about the Seven Grandfather Techniques which teaches the ethics of proper behaviour or conduct, or “the good way of life.”
The outdoor space is available for community use, free of charge. It can be used for ceremonies, celebrations, teachings, contemplation & other peaceful gatherings.
