Collingwood Festival for Canada

June 30 – July 1

Come to Collingwood and celebrate the country we call home from June 29 – July 1. Enjoy a full line-up of activities for the entire family. This includes live music, strolling entertainment, and on-the-water events. In the heart of historic Downtown Collingwood, you will find unique shops, as well as restaurants, including more than 25 outdoor patios to enjoy a quick coffee, leisurely lunch or a gourmet dinner. Of course Canada Day would not be complete without the famous pancake breakfast, Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony, gigantic Canada Day birthday cake, and spectacular fireworks in Downtown Collingwood!


Canada Day Weekend in The Blue Mountains

June 29 – July 1

On Sunday, June 30th, come celebrate Canada Day Eve Party at the Beaver Valley Community Centre. Enjoy great food and drinks, including a BBQ by Black Angus Fine Meats, Culinary Design tacos, treats from Chapman’s Ice Cream, a beer tent sponsored by Creemore Springs and Ardiel Cider House, and a lemonade stand.

On July 1st in Thornbury, come out for a day of fun and celebrate Canada Day! Listen to a local band featuring classic rock and blues and fun family activities. Greetings, O Canada, and birthday cake, as well as the sidewalk sale. Come out to the harbour, to see the Fire Department, Coast Gaurd, O.P.P. Marine Unit and the O.P.P. Emergency Response Team “ERT”. There will be an air show performance so grab your family, lawnchairs, cameras and water bottles and head to Thornbuy’s waterfront.

In Clarksburg (on July 1st), come join the community for a pancake breakfast at 8:30am. Located at the Royal Canadian Legion, Beaver Valley Branch, and Downtown Clarksburg. Come enjoy a house and carriage ride, get your face painted, view the Georgian Bay British Car Club Show and Shine, and eat breakfast while listening to the Bored of Education Band. There is a parade full of businesses, individuals and groups with floats, vintage cars, bicycles, music, walkers etc.

Meaford Canada Day Fireworks & Celebration

July 1

Make a day of it in Meaford on Canada Day! Come out and enjoy a day full of games, family activities, vendors, live music, fireworks, a reptile zoo, a scavenger hunt and even doggie ice cream at Beautiful Joe Park! Take a tour of Beautiful Joe Park and learn about Beautiful Joe and the author that made him Canada’s most Famous Dog.  There’s something for the whole family including inflatables, face painting, a zoo, a car show, live music, food, fireworks at dusk and much more, taking place at the Meaford Harbour. 


Canada Day Celebrations in Clearview

July 1

Celebrate Canada’s Birthday in beautiful Clearview Township! Downtown Stayner and Creemore will be filled with lots of family fun! Children’s activities, live music, delicious, food, fireworks and more. The Stayner parade starts at 10:30am at the Station Park and travels to the Stayner Community Centre. The Creemore parade starts at 1:30pm at the County of Simcoe/Hydro Yard and travels down Mill Street.

Wasaga Beach Canada Day Event

July 1

On July 1st, come to Beach Area 1 to celebrate Canada Day! Free family fun is happening at Beach Area 1 and the Spruce Street municipal lot from noon to 4pm. There will be obstacle courses, giant slides, bouncy castles, face painting, balloon artists and Canada Day birthday cake! The headliner, Dan Davidson, is one of Alberta’s newest and up-and-coming country sensations. Fireworks will cap off the big day at 10:00pm from the Third Street Municipal Picnic Area.
