Below is a list of spring-themed activities that we can’t wait for you to try out!



Meaford Memorial Park
Memorial Park is a beautiful park and beach on the shoreline of Georgian Bay. Open year round, there is truly something for everyone here! Camping is open May to October and trails are open for public access year round. Memorial Park is great for families, friends and even dogs-yep, they’re dog friendly! There is a section of the beach dedicated for dog use. Memorial Park also has a mini-golf course and playground areas. It’s no wonder why they are a top Meaford destination. From the scenic beauty to the activities, this park is a wonderful year-round destination.
Biking the Georgian Trail
Biking the Georgian Trail is a must-do activity! This 34km trail runs from Collingwood to Meaford and has more than 30 access points. The trail is rated as easy and will take you through scenic areas, apple orchards, parks and the Georgian Bay waterfront. If you choose to get off trail early, there’s access to many of our beautiful beaches along the trail to enjoy the view or take a dip in the water. Whether you’re a pro cycler or beginner, the Georgian Trail welcomes you.
Creemore Springs Brewery
Creemore Springs Brewery is a Creemore staple! The famous beer you know and love started right here in South Georgian Bay back in 1987. If you’re looking for a cold beer during your getaway, Creemore Springs will be sure to satisfy that craving. Tours aren’t back quite yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stop in for a tasting and visit to the shop!
Theatre Collingwood
Theatre Collingwood is a not-for-profit, professional theatre company that has been in Collingwood since 1984. The Roost Wine Company
The Roost Wine Company is one of the most beautiful wineries around! They make hand-made, sustainably farmed, oh so delicious wines right on the farm. Scenic Caves
Calling all nature lovers! Scenic Caves is a natural treasure located right in the town of Blue Mountain. This scenic destination has natural caves that were carved by glacial ice millions of years ago along with 15kms of hiking trails. Scenic Caves also features a suspension bridge, pond, lookouts and activities for kids. Great for families, couples and friends, it’s no secret why people love visiting Scenic Caves!
Quick tip: Wear running or hiking shoes shoes for admission-no flip flops! Arrive early for guaranteed access, or you’ll have to check back again later in the day.
Paddling the Nottawasaga River
If you have your own watercraft you can launch it at Klondike Park Sports Park. Don’t have your own? No problem! Free Spirit Tours rents canoes, kayaks and SUPs. Paddling the Nottawasaga River is a scenic route with the opportunity to see beavers, herons, egrets, muskrats, turtles and more!
Shopping in Meaford
The local businesses of Meaford are one of a kind, so it’s no surprise why shopping in Meaford made the list! With the wide variety of fun shops, there is something for everyone. Check out L’AB Studio Clinic for custom herbal medicine blends with healing properties, or book one of their many services with a holistic practitioner. Afterwards, head on over to Maggie + Dix for home and garden decor and more. If you don’t find something for yourself (which we know you will) Maggie + Dix is the perfect shop to find gifts for birthdays, holidays, bridal showers and even your pets. Next, satisfy your sweet tooth over at Grandma Lambe’s, home to fresh baked pies and goods. Grandma Lambe’s has been a Meaford staple since the 1940’s that you won’t want to miss!
