Collingwood Harbour

The stunning view of the bay is truly something that will have you dreaming until your next visit. Depending on the day, the waters can resemble the Caribbean Sea.  Collingwood harbour is the perfect place for big-lake boating with islands, small harbours and great fishing.

Collingwood Downtown

2. Historic Downtown

Downtown Collingwood has a collection of upscale shops, inviting restaurants and cafes and of course the Historic Gayety Theatre and Simcoe Street Theatre. It is a must-see when visiting.




Collingwood Trails

3. Stunning Trails

The Collingwood Trails encompass over 70 kilometres and feature interpretive signs on the flora and fauna, wildlife, and history across the entire trail system. Their trails are perfect for walkers, joggers and cyclists. Stroll along the waterfront, the boardwalk, the arboretum, and the labyrinth. For a bonus, follow the trails to the top of the berm above the Amphitheatre and enjoy a perfect view of the town, the Collingwood Terminals, and the Blue Mountains.


4. Microbreweries

This small town offers a lot in the way of way of microbreweries with 4 in town making it easy to get your craft beer fix. You can go for great tours and learn about their brewing process or grab a bite eat and enjoy a flight.

Sunset Beach is Open but the Washrooms Still Remain Closed

It is a great place to take a dip in the bay, have a picnic or take out a stand-up paddleboard. If you are in the mood for a bite to eat you have to check out The Chipper. They have the best chicken fingers and fries but the whole menu is an amazing and the perfect accompaniment after a swim in the bay. If you really want a treat yourself, you need to get a scoop of ice cream.


Collingwood is a great place to escape the city, as it is only two hours from Toronto. There are so many amazing places around Collingwood that it is worth extending your weekend trip into a week in order to see the beautiful area of South Georgian Bay.
