Snowshoeing & Wine Tasting
Strap on a pair of snowshoes and join a tour guide for a fun and informative trek through the snowy vineyard. Follow it up with a mug of mulled wine and a soup & cheese board, all included in the price. This is Northern viticulture at it’s chilly best.
Beginning in January, group tours run at 11 AM on weekends (please book in advance).
Can’t make the weekend tour at 11? Book a tour time Wednesday – Friday (minimum 5 participants, cannot be booked on weekends).
$35+tax per person covers the tour, mulled wine, and soup/cheese board.
No snowshoes? No problem! Borrow one of their pairs, or a snazzy demo pair – no rental charge.
Want a truly unique Canadian Experience this winter? Cure the winter blues by feeling the crunch of snow beneath your feet while you trek through the vineyards with a knowledgeable guides. It’s a beautiful relaxing trek that only takes about 30 minutes. This is great for beginners or if you just want a leisurely jaunt outside.
Step inside Georgian Hills where you will delight in 4 wine samples that are each matched perfectly with local cheeses. We then head just minutes down the road to Thornbury Village Cider House where each person in your group will get to choose between a flight of cider, wine or beer while you relax inside their cozy tasting room. For those that want something different, try their non-alcoholic cider, it’s truly delicious. They offer something for everyone.
Package includes: Transportation from Collingwood & Blue Mountain Resort area, snacks on the bus, snowshoes, guide and tasting.
Availability: Daily if weather permits.
Duration: Tour is approximately 3-3.5 hours in length.

Enjoy a picturesque guided snowshoe tour in the Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area on the world renowned Bruce Trail. Then cozy up by the fireplace at Georgian Hills Vineyards and savour four local wines paired with local cheeses, a quintessential Canadian experience!
Experience: Beginners to Experienced – Don’t worry if you’ve never snowshoed before, we teach you everything you need to know!!
We can tailor our tour to fit what you’d like to do – just a nice easy saunter or something that gets the adrenaline going!
What to wear: Winter gear: hats, gloves, boots & snow pants. Layers are recommended, so if you get too warm, you can take a layer off.
What to bring: Water to drink (in a day pack so it’s easy to carry) and a camera!
Time: Every day 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Minimum: 2 people
