Located on top of the Niagara Escarpment, Loree Forest offers scenic views and is accessible year-round. Dogs are welcome to use this trail, but must be kept on leash. The trail is a great spot for hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and biking. A popular trail used by locals and tourists alike that offers a rewarding experience.
The Loree Forest is an ungroomed looped trail that is part of the Bruce Trail. With this in mind, winter conditions can vary turning this easy hike into a moderate trek if unprepared. However the hike has dramatic views over Georgian Bay that are worth every step.
A relatively flat trail awaits, excluding one section with a smaller hill. Be sure to keep an eye (and ear) open for birding!
Parking for this trail is on the roadside the entrance is located on 21st Sideroad, 5.2 km from Grey Road 2. Follow the blue blazes on the north side of the road for 200 meters until it intersects the main Bruce Trail (white blazes) and turn left.
