Nothing says the beginning of summer better than the Downtown Collingwood Farmers’ Market. The 14th season on May 18th, 2019 and continues until the Thanksgiving weekend. Rain or shine, it runs every Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., outdoors in the Second and Pine Street municipal parking lot.
For years the farmers’ market has been offering a place to purchase quality produce, food and crafts. In addition, the idea of the 100 mile market (the market containing only produce from 100 miles around the market location) has been implemented to promote buying local and eating healthy.
The Collingwood market features produce vendors, local baked goods, crafts and artwork. There will be many new faces, in addition to the tried and true vendors that have been coming since the market began in 2004.
In addition to approximately 70 vendor stalls, special events will be held at the market such as: children’s activities, musicians and demonstrations.
