Learning Vacations

A learning vacation is an opportunity to have a new experience and learn a thing or two, all while having fun. Here we share some of our favourite local sources of unique learning experiences in South Georgian Bay, from candle making at Serendipity Candle Factory to whisky tasting with a Certified Single Malt Ambassador.

With over 60 flavour varieties and hundreds of pairing possibilities, the choices are endless. Sample the different flavours  – from raspberry balsamic to butter olive oil. Leave with a new bottle (or two) of olive oil or balsamic and some new knowledge as well!

See How Candy is Made

The hidden gem of Collingwood! Not only is this store filled with all candy and chocolate you could image (truffles, fudge, lollipops, gift ideas, etc.). Over the years, the Candy Factory’s product line has been expanded to include favorites of all kinds; however, their chocolates are the most desired treats. The viewing room provides a one-of-a-kind experience. Visitors are able to get a glimpse of the chocolatiers and candy connoisseurs create sweet treats with old fashioned techniques.
