We’ve got you covered with a list of the coolest and most delicious ice cream spots in the region. Whether you’re in the mood for classic flavours or something more adventurous, these shops are sure to cone-tain just what you’re looking for. So let’s get the inside scoop and look at some of the best places to enjoy a cold treat this summer!

The Collingwood Sweet Shoppe

Located at 116 Hurontario Street in Collingwood, The Sweet Shoppe is guaranteed to satisfy your cravings. Come in for a sample of their homemade ice cream or treat yourself to a cup or cone! This spot is located in the heart of downtown Collingwood making it a perfect stop for shoppers to stop and cool off at after browsing in other stores. It is open Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please note that they are closed on Mondays.

Collingwood Ice Cream Company

If you ever come across this unique food truck, don’t miss the chance to indulge in their 100% Jersey Milk ice cream! Collingwood Ice Cream Co. pops up all over town, but you can mainly find them in the picturesque Millennium Park serving up their scrumptious scoops. Make sure to keep an eye out for them by following their Facebook page to see where they are next!

Mr. Norm’s Nephew

 Looking to create your own flavour combination of frozen yogurt or ice cream? Look no further than Mr. Norm’s Nephew. Serving the Wasaga Beach community since 1980, they offer an endless amount of flavour combinations using fresh fruits and real cookies. Come by their location at 1004 Mosley St any day of the week and indulge in your own sweet creation! Hours of operation are Sunday and Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m and Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Grandma’s Beach Treats

 If you’re headed to Wasaga Beach, make sure to stop by the classic Grandma’s Beach Treats just a 5-minute drive from Beach Area 1! Not only do they serve up a wide array of delicious ice cream flavours, they also offer a fun “name of the day” contest where daily winners get a free ice cream cone or butter tart. With so many treats to choose from, you don’t want to miss out on this sweet spot! Come by anytime Friday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Saturday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at our location on 1014 Mosley St.

The Chipper

The Chipper is known throughout the Collingwood, Ontario area as a local favourite. Found in the beautiful Sunset Point Park overlooking the South Georgian Bay, The Chipper serves up delicious Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream providing you with a picture-perfect treat. Come visit the waterfront for a scoop anytime from 11 a.m. until sunset this summer!

Pom Pom Treat Hut

Whether you’re in Thornbury or Meaford, Pom Pom Treat Hut invites you to enjoy their tasty dairy and plant-based ice cream flavours – there is something for everyone! Their vibrant team is serving the community one scoop at a time, and their pints can be found and purchased at many local retailers in the surrounding area. Come see for yourself at our location on 6 Bruce Street North, Thornbury or at our new location in Meaford at 25 Sykes Street North! Please note the operating hours at each location are different. The Thornbury location is closed from Monday to Thursday, and open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The Meaford location is closed on Tuesdays but open every other day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and open until 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Nicky’s Doughnuts & Ice Cream

Looking for a unique ice cream experience in Collingwood? If so, you would be delighted to visit Nicky’s Doughnuts & Ice Cream located at 10 Third St. Their homemade ice cream is made onsite from scratch using locally sourced milk from Sheldon Creek Dairy, which means that it’s not only fresh, but it’s also supporting local businesses. Plus, if you’re a fan of their ice cream, you can pre-order pints online to enjoy at home or come by the store to pick some up. Open on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., open on Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
