Melt into your weekend with Yoga Nidra. Also known as Yogic or Dynamic sleep, Yoga Nidra comes to us from the study of ancient Vedic texts. During practice you lie in Savasana (corpse pose) as you transition into an altered state of awareness. You will be lead through four main stages of brainwave activity – beta, alpha, theta and delta, using gentle breath paired with guided meditation. The ‘goal’ of Yoga Nidra is to reach the place between wakefulness and sleep. That being said, you cannot do Yoga Nidra wrong, there is no fail. This tranquil, deep practice is accessible to all bodies of all ages and ability. No experience necessary.

A regular Yoga Nidra practice has been shown to positively impact blood pressure, immunity, blood sugar, mood, PMS, anxiety, PTSD, sleep, focus, fatigue and general tension. It is said that 1 hour of Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours of deep, restorative sleep.

It is a well held belief that we can only give our best from vessel that is full. Allow this restorative practice to still the ever moving energy of daily living and abundantly fill yourself up. You deserve it!
