This 6 week lecture series focuses on Water Issues in Ontario and the Georgian Triangle. This course will focus on the complex issues, dynamics and techniques of managing water as a finite resource on a global and local scale. First week – Ontario’s Hydrology – will be lectured by Dr. Ellsworth LeDrew, University of Waterloo professor. Week 2 – 6 will be lectured by Dr. Romila Verma, University of Toronto professor. Weekly topics: Surface Water; Groundwater and Aquifiers – Are they at risk?; The Legal Framework for Water Management and Governance; Hydrometereological and Biological Events; Water Issues for the Georgian Triangle.

Livestreamed to Simcoe Street Theatre, Collingwood; Station on the Green, Creemore; Wasaga Beach RecPlex, tickets
$50 for 6 week series – $10 at door if seats are still available
