Collingwood Summer Music Festival

Collingwood is getting a new music festival this summer, which will run from July 18 to August 11, 2019 – presenting internationally-renowned music ensembles in the fields of classical, jazz and world music.

Playing his way through numerous countries and countless kilometers with an elegant, rich sound that has filled numerous halls and venues, the new festival’s founder and artistic director – Daniel Wnukowski, has solidified his place within the ranks of the great pianists of our day. The Polish-Canadian pianist lives in Vienna, Austria but tours all throughout North America for 7 months out of the year. His parents retired to Wasaga Beach back in 2016, which was the main catalyst for drawing him to Collingwood and starting a new music festival there.

Holding deep roots to the area Daniel Wnukowski holds the area close to his heart. His story, like his music, is one of high highs and low lows. The journey from wretched weather to heavenly music”

In his own words of his previous performances in Collingwood “The energy, dynamism and strong community spirit of the audience was undeniable”

Being the founder and artistic director of the Collingwood Summer Music festival, Daniel Wnukowski has a vision and keeps an ear to the ground on picking out exceptional performers. Being at the helm he will surely weave in an unrivaled sound with styles ranging from classical to cool jazz, blues to world music. There is something for everyone and everyone is welcome.

Including numerous performers such as:

The Elmer Iseler Singers , The Gryphon Trio, Quartetto Gelato, Sugar and Gold, Nhapitapi, Payadora Tango Ensemble, Rolston String Quartet, Carnaval and so many more
