One of the best parts about the area is being near Georgian Bay! Summer days should be spent on the water enjoying views of the escarpment and the bay.

We have wine, cider, brews galore in SGB! Collingwood alone has 4 microbreweries… now that’s impressive! Get sampling so you can find your new go-to summer drink.
Have Lunch or Dinner on a Patio
Who doesn’t love a good patio? Enjoy the warm weather and have a delicious meal on a patio. SGB has many restaurants with a wide variety of food offered.
Go for a Hike up the Mountain
You get a great workout and an added bonus of a scenic lookout hiking up the mountain! The view alone is worth the trek to the top.
Bike to Different Towns on the Trails
We’re sure when you think of SGB that trails are one of the first things that come to mind! You have the option to use the in town trails for a relaxed bike ride or you can use the trails between towns for a harder workout. The Georgian Trail and Clearview Train Trail are great bike rides if you are looking for a day trip!
Go Swimming at a Beach
What better way to spend a day then to sit on a beach and relax? It’s the ultimate summer activity, especially if you are looking to unwind while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Go to a Farmers’ Market
Support local by visiting a Farmers’ Market in one of SGB’s municipalities! Check out all the local produce, baking and more.
Shop in One of the Historic Downtowns
Not only do we have the water, trails and the mountain – but we have lots of history in our municipalities. Visit downtown Collingwood, Creemore, Stayner, Thornbury, Clarksburg or Meaford!
Watch the Sunset by the Waterfront
It’s all about the simple pleasures in life! We think watching the sunset by the waterfront is a great way to end your day.
