Snowshoe the Local Trails

The Collingwood Trails encompasses over 60 kilometres of recreational trails for cyclists, walkers, joggers, skiers, and you guessed it, snowshoers. The well-marked Trails helps you get around town safely and quickly. Stop by the South Georgian Bay Information Centre (located inside the Collingwood Museum), and get your free map.

Go ice skating

Collingwood has an outdoor skating rink open in the winter from December – March, (weather permitting), there is also no charge!  Public skating is available daily (check for times), as well as Parent & Tot skating on Monday & Wednesday (4-5pm) and Saturday & Sunday (11-12pm). The rink is located behind the YMCA off of Hume Street.

Collingwood’s historic Downtown Heritage Conservation District boasts an exciting array of boutique shops, services and restaurants. Blue Mountain Tea Company, Collingwood Olive Oil Co., Fish & Sips & Minds Alive are just a few must-see places to check out during your stroll around Downtown Collingwood.

Collingwood February Family Jam Event

Family Day – February 18, 2019. Collingwood has some great activities planned to keep you and the family active and having fun on Family Day. There are more than 20 different things to do, and they’re all free! Come on out to Central Park for skating, swimming, open gym, curling, and crafts. You can also play some street hockey or some Healthy Kids Community Challenge activities.

Heritage Walks

Collingwood has had a colourful history shaped by the railways, shipbuilding and agriculture.  More than 50 different buildings in and around downtown Collingwood capture many of the historical highlights defined by the many intriguing characters who built and lived in them.
